The Team
- Robert
Williams
Robert's main area of
expertise is in archaeological illustration. He is
a member of the Association of Archaeological
illustrators and surveyors and has produced many of
illustrations for our reports. Rob oversees the work of
specialist artefact illustrators and other contributors.

Rob has been in archaeology for over 20
years. He worked for many years with the former City of
Hereford Archaeology Unit as an excavator, site planner,
illustrator and specialist building surveyor. He has
contributed to many published articles and reports and
is highly skilled in the interpretation, recording and
analysis of standing buildings, and has a particular
expertise in carrying out timber framed building
surveys.
Rob has a great love of old buildings and has researched
the history of the buildings of Hereford. He has built
up a large archive of his personal photographs of many
buildings in Hereford and other towns over the years. He
has also collected and archived many original postcards
showing views of buildings that have been demolished.
