How can we help?

Archenfield Archaeology is fully committed to community-based and led initiatives. We actively liaise with local history groups and publications.

Our activities include the provision of information and education for schools, communities and the general public.

We provide ad hoc historical and archaeological background to individuals and leisure activity groups.
Archenfield Archaeology is playing a leading role in the Landscape Origins of the Wye Valley project which invites local people to help investigate the history of the Wye Valley countryside and how it has been shaped over the centuries.

For several years we played an active part in 'Trackways to Remember' based around the informal group 'Artists and Archaeologists in Archenfield'. Artists in the group included visual artist Caroline Hands, potter Bridget Drakeford, storyteller Lenny Alsop and stained glass artist Nicky Hopwood.

We also try to bring findings of our excavations and research to the public by means of these pages.
